About
The history of V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women, a temple of learning founded by a great visionary Shri V.V.Vanniaperumal Nadar with a singular objective of empowering rural women through higher education, is a saga of human excellence, endurance and commitment for six decades.
Having started with a meagre strength in 1962, the institution has grown by leaps and bounds into one of the reputed women's colleges in Tamilnadu. The strength has reached 3973 students of which 1924 are admitted in aided programmes and 2049 are admitted in self finance programmes. The college offers 26 UG programmes, 14 PG programmes, 6 M.Phil. programmes and 6 Ph.D. programmes. At present 96 teaching staff serve in the aided departments and 132 in the self-finance departments. There are earnest and enthusiastic 195 non-teaching staff (48 in aided and 147 in self finance). The college became an autonomous institution in 2009 and it was reaccredited with 'A' GRADE (3rd cycle) in 2018 by NAAC.

Admissions 2023
The college ensures the openness and transparency of the application process in every way. According to government norms, an admission committee headed by the principal and four senior teachers, including representatives of socially disadvantaged communities, will be formed. The college follows a policy of reservation and merit which ensures equality and social justice.
Information on the dates of submission of application forms and the last date of submission of completed applications can be found on the college website at www.vvvcollege.org. It is also possible to download application forms from the website. The college prospectus contains detailed information about the courses offered, fee structure, eligibility criteria and services available.
Selection list and waiting list will be displayed on the college notice board. Transparency is maintained from the notification stage to the end of the admission process as per the government guidelines. During studies, lecturers guide and advise candidates and parents through the Help Desk. Physically challenged students are given priority in the admission process as per government guidelines to instill confidence in them. The list of students admitted to various courses is sent to the university and the director of the college. Admit card will be sent to the selected candidates and their certificates will be verified by the competition committee.

Objectives

Highlights of the Placement Cell
- A memorandum of understanding was signed with Sutherland Global Services Pvt Ltd, Madurai.
- Training classes in mental ability and test of reasoning were conducted to enhance their quick arithmetic skills.
- Language Improvement Programmes were organized to hone the communication skills of the students.
- Mock-Interviews and Mock-Group Discussions were periodically arranged prior to the recruitment programmes.
