St. Xaviers College (SXC) Kolkata
St. Xavier’s College is an autonomous educational institution in Kolkata. It was established in 1860 and affiliated with the University of Calcutta in 1862. St. Xavier’s College has been ranked as the top 7th college in Indian by the NIRF in its 2020 rankings. Earlier in the year 2019, St. Xavier’s College Kolkata was ranked 9th and 7th by The Week for Arts and Science respectively. The higher educational institute provides several Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate courses to students of all nationalities and castes. Courses offered at the college include BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BMS, B.Ed, M.Com, MA, M.Sc, etc. Admission to the college is based on merits and entrance exams conducted by the institute.
Graduates from SXC Kolkata are placed in top-notch companies such as Deloitte, PWC, Larsen & Toubro, JP Morgan, Google, IBM, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Usha, etc. with an average salary package of INR 9.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered to these students reached up to INR 14 LPA.

ST.XAVIER'S College Facilities
The college has various facilities created for the students to help them excel in their career education while in tenure at the college. Some of the facilities are mentioned below:
- Hostel: Separate buildings for the Girls hostel and Boys hostel are constructed.
- Classrooms: There are approximately 50 classrooms on the campus with a capacity of around 70 students at a time. The classrooms are spacious and modernized which helps in a better learning experience.
- Laboratories: 3 computer labs in there along with well-equipped Physics, chemistry, and biotechnology labs. Separate labs for separate academic subjects are there on the campus to avoid disturbances and thus, helps in maintaining focus.
- Library: The Mass Communication and Videography departments have their own libraries to help the students in their filming works and understandings. The central library of the college is double floored, spacious and a peaceful place to concentrate and study. It is digitalized and software oriented.

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placement. Our college placement cells are very active. Every year many famous companies like Deloitte, PWC, EY, AMAZON, GOOGLE, ICICI BANK, FEDERAL BANK, HINDUSTAN UNILEVER and many more visit our college for placements and paid internships. The range of packages last year is 4 LPA-24LPA and last academic year almost 80% of students were placed. So our college ranking is very good. Companies provide students with various job profiles like HR, Marketing, SOFTWARE, FINANCE etc. So if any student is thinking about the placement criteria then don't think but agree. After graduation, I will pursue a PhD in finance at our college because Xavier's gives us the opportunity to research and analyze.
