About
St. Albert's College is a prestigious autonomous institution fully affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, located in Ernakulam, Kerala. It was founded by Dr. Joseph Attippetty who was the first Indian Archbishop coming from Verapoly Archdiocese. The college was originally founded in 1892 as St. Albert High School by Dr. Leonardo Mellano. It was upgraded to a second class college in 19 6 and was duly recognized as St Albert's College in its formative years. Having achieved several important milestones, with its century-old history, St Albert's College is now also known as the largest IGNOU center in South India.

St. Albert's College was established in 1947. It is located in Ernakulam, Kerala and is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
The institute offers B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BBM, B.Voc and BA courses at UG level and MBA, MA, M.S.W, M.Sc. and M.Com at PG level.
- For both UG and PG courses, St. Albert's College provides application forms through online mode only.
- Minimum eligibility for UG course is pass at HSC examination or equivalent
- Minimum eligibility for PG courses is bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline.
- Admission to both the UG and PG courses is on the basis of merit list of the qualifying exam.
- Admission to M.S.W and M.Sc. (Space Technology) is based on entrance test.
- In aided courses, 80% seats are classified as merit seats (General Quota seats and Seats earmarked for Latin Community, SC/ST candidates) and rest 20% are Management seats.
- In self-finance courses, 50% seats are for General Merit and rest 50% are for Management quota.
Placements Process
Registration
All students who need an internship register in the internship section with all the necessary information. This database contains all the information you need for further investments.
Selection of eligible candidates
Based on the criteria defined by the company, the student database is filtered and a list of suitable students is prepared, which is forwarded to the company. After the company selection process, students are placed.
The college has an internship cell consisting of an internship coordinator from the faculty and student representatives from each department. student representatives from each department, who are responsible for communicating internship news to the respective departments. It maintains a database of potential employers, internship opportunities and future communications. Rakuke also manages campus recruitment and arranges employer visits to campus to engage with graduate students and for the future recruitment process.
The internship cell regularly organizes and implements various activities every year to improve internship opportunities of students. The Placement Cell meets regularly to plan and monitor various placement activities. Minutes of meetings are kept for reference. Some of the features are listed below:
- Visits to Companies in Info Park/technopark to invite them to the campus for recruitment.
- Aptitude training
- Technical sessions by experts and in-house faculty
- Soft skill workshop such as:
- Aptitude training.
- Personality development and Communication skills training
- Special grooming programme in personal education Etiquette
- Interview skills & Group discussion trainings
- Resume preparation

Many festivals and competitions are organized in the college. Best and amazing library. More than 1 Lac books are available in our library. The best smart classroom experience and the best teaching. Various social and club activities are offered. Includes sports and art.
