About
Scott Christian College (independent) has a rich history dating back to the 17th century when the Rev. William Tobias Ringeltaube founded a village church in Mylaudy in 1809. The college has consistently been among the top 50 colleges in India according to the NIRF rankings. Scott Christian College offers a wide range of UG, PG and PhD courses like B.Sc. Zoology, B.com, M.Phil in Mathematics and PhD in Economics in all three fields of Science, Art and Commerce. Admission to the college is both merit-based and admission-based and candidates must apply online through the official website.
Addmissions 2023
Scott Christian College offers courses in UG, PG, PhD and Ph.D in Arts, Science and Humanities departments. It is self-financing as well as the state. sponsored courses. At the undergraduate level, the college offers B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., BCA, BBA and BBM programs in 15 programs with a total of 960 seats. At PG level, the institute offers M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. school Scott Christian College also offers a pre-doctoral M. Phil. The institute also offers Ph.D.
- For the bachelor’s programs like B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, etc., the eligibility criteria for the candidates to apply is the passing of Class 12 examination with the relevant subject.
- For the P.G courses like M.Sc., M.Com. and M.A, the eligibility criteria for the candidates to apply is the passing of Bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with the minimum required percentage.
- For UG and PG courses, the selection is done on the basis Merit in the qualifying examination.
- For being eligible to apply in M.Phil. course, the candidate must have Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with the required percentage.
- Admissions in M.Phil. are strictly on the basis of QEE.
- Separate application for the govt. aided and self-financed courses is mandatory.
- The candidate can apply to any of the courses available in the college only through Offline mode.
Placements
The placement cell plays a vital role in finding job opportunities for the post-graduates of college for undergraduate and graduate students by keeping in touch with reputed companies and industrial establishments. Placement Cell operates throughout the year to facilitate connections between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through campus interviews is steadily increasing. Many well-known industries visit the institute for interviews on invitation basis.
We have managed to maintain our high statistics over the years, and our quality is proven by the fact that our students are weathering the recession blues with record placings. Our brilliant alumni have set new standards in the business world with their valuable contributions and I strongly believe that we will continue this legacy in the years to come.
