About Nirma University, Ahmedabad
Nirma University (NU) was established by the Government of Gujarat in 2003 by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly by merging six reputed colleges under one banner named Institute of Technology (Estd. 1995), Institute of Management (Estd. 1996), Institute of Diploma . Studies (Estd. 1997), Institute of Pharmacy (Estd. 2003), Institute of Sciences (Estd.) 200 ) and Institute of Law (Estd. 2007). NU is recognized by the University Grants Commission. NU operates under the Nirma Education and Research Foundation.
Campus
NU campus is located on Sarkhej - Gandhi Nagar National Highway-8C Chharodi village in Ahmedabad district Gujarat. The NU campus has over 110 hectares of land. NU campus is just 15 km from Ahmedabad city and has very good road, rail and air connectivity to major cities.
