Mount Carmel College (MCC) Bangalore, originally established in Kerala in 1948, was later affiliated from Bangalore University in 1964. The all-women’s college is among top private colleges in Bengaluru and accredited A+ by NAAC accreditation. The college offers various UG, PG, PG diploma, PhD and integrated courses in five departments namely Humanities, Science, Home Science, Education and Commerce & Management. The college also hosts a skill development centre for enhancing the other money-making skills in students like Cosmetology, Bakery, Garment Designing and Stitching, etc. India Today in 2020 ranked MCC Bangalore at third place for Science stream, at fourth place separately for Arts and Commerce stream among colleges in Bengaluru. Also, the ranking body Outlook India ranked the college at fourth place in overall category of Bangalore colleges in its 2020 rankings. Besides the academic rankings, the college is second cleanest ranked college in India by Swachh Campus Abhiyaan and first in its state of Karnataka. Admission and Curriculum Review: Mount Caramel College admissions are conducted through marks and percentage in 12th std. The curriculum, teaching and staff can all be greatly improved. The infrastructure also needs significant improvements.
