About Manipal University
Excellence in higher education is a given thanks to Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The expansive university town, located on a plateau in Karnataka's Udupi district, is home to around 28,000 students from 57 different countries who study, live, and have fun there. Additionally, it employs nearly 2500 teaching members and nearly 10,000 other support and service personnel to help the several professional institutions in the humanities, engineering, management, and health sciences that dot the Wi-Fi-enabled campus.
The university also includes offshore campuses in Dubai (UAE) and Melaka, as well as off-shore campuses in Bangalore and Mangalore (Malaysia). There are nursing, dental, and medical programmes available at the Mangalore campus. Regenerative Medicine programmes are available at the Bangalore Campus. Programs in engineering, management, and architecture are offered at the campus in Dubai, while programmes in medicine and dentistry are offered at the campus in Melaka.
Every institute features cutting-edge teaching and facilities that are regularly examined and updated to reflect the most recent advancements in higher education. These include academic establishments like the Simulation Lab with computer-driven Manikins, an Innovation Centre, one of Asia's largest health sciences libraries, one of the top anatomy museums in the world, a business incubation centre, and several other centres of excellence in Manipal. Students receive exposure to and training from other countries thanks to academic partnerships and twinning programmes with numerous universities in the US, UK, Australia, and other nations.
Admissions 2023
Admission to MAHE's UG and PG programmes is now available for 2023. Based on the results of the qualifying examination, candidates are chosen. Admission to undergraduate programmes in B.Tech (Regular+Lateral), B.Pharm, BBA, B.Com, PharmD, B.Arch, and BA (Media & Communication). M.Sc. (Medical), M.Sc. (Nursing), ME, M.Tech, M.Pharm, Pharm. D. (PB), and other M.Sc. courses are also available at the postgraduate level. Manipal University also provides M.Phil. and PhD programmes. The majority of the courses offer admission on the basis of the online Manipal Entrance Test (MET), which is followed by GD and PI exams administered by the MAHE. Through the official website, candidates can submit their applications by paying INR 600 (INR 1400 for selected courses).
The institution also takes into account results from national admission exams like NATA/JEE Paper-II for B.Arch, NEET PG/UG, NEET SS, and NEET MDS for courses like MD/MBBS/BDS, MS, MDS, and DM/M.Ch, respectively. Candidates are chosen for M.Phil. and PhD admission based on their performance on the entrance exam, which is followed by an assessment of their prior academic record and an interview. The MAHE Ph.D. entrance exam is not required for applicants who have earned fellowships through INSPIRE, JEST, the ICMR JRF, the CSIR NET, or the UGC NET.
Placements at Manipal University
The MAHE 2020–21 graduating class's placement campaign has been successfully completed. The class had 6389 students in total, which was 8.05% more than the previous year. 3696 students were placed among them. The three-year PG students made an average salary of 15.30 LPA. 756 students were chosen to pursue higher education.
During its placement drives, MAHE Placements brings in a number of well-known recruiters to the campus each year, including Deloitte, Amazon, Flipkart, Cognizant, HSBC First Bank, HDFC Bank, and many others.

The median pay during the placement drive was INR 3 LPA for three-year undergrads, INR 6.50 LPA for four-year undergrads, and INR 8.40 LPA for five-year undergrads. Throughout the placement drive, 2272 UG students were hired in total. 142 of them were from the three-year undergraduate programme, 1523 from the four-year undergraduate programme, and 607 from the five-year undergraduate programme.
