Maitreyi College is a women's college which is one of the colleges affiliated to Delhi University. The college offers 3-year undergraduate programs in Arts, Commerce and Science in various disciplines with a highly qualified and experienced teaching team. Some teachers have been trained in new pedagogical strategies involving innovative blended learning in the UK. According to NIRF 2022 research,
Maitreyi Colleges in India were ranked 34th.
The university has been recognized as a star college in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) giving star status to all the four science departments viz. Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Mathematics. NAAC has also given A grade to the college.
Admissions 2023
Maitreyi College admission 2022 is ongoing. Delhi University has released new guidelines for admission to all UG courses. From this year onwards, admission to all DU affiliated colleges will be based on the CUET scores and done through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). The admission process will be done in three phases. In phase 1, aspirants will have to fill CSAS 2022 application form. In the second phase, students will have to select the course and college preference. The third phase will include seat allocation in multiple rounds and final admission based on a merit list.
Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2022 Admission Process:
Delhi University has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for admission to UG courses for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:
Phase 1: CSAS 2022 Application Form
- Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS 2022 application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
- ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.
Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences
- Second phase will start after the results of the CUET UG examination are declared.
- After the CUET UG 2022 Result declaration, eligible candidates will have to select the courses and fill the preference of desired colleges on the centralised CSAS portal.
Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission
- Merit list will be declared on the basis of CUET UG scores.
- Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted.
- Candidates will have to check if they have been allotted a seat on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted, candidates must accept their seat on or before the given date for that particular round.
- Seat allocation will be based on multiple factors such as - combination of college and program chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
- Upon acceptance of a seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of fee
Placement Cell
Maitreyi College is one of the main institutes affiliated to Delhi University. The institute released its placement report for the 2019-20 batch of 2020 and 72.72% of the new recruits participated in the recruitment.
With more than 60 companies participating in the recruitment campaign, the 2020 internship session ended with a bang.
More than 50 companies offered internships to 150 students.
