Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, also referred to as MGIMS Wardha, was established in 1969. The institute offers an MBBS course at the UG level, MD, and MS courses in a total of 20 specializations, Diploma courses in 9 specializations, and Ph.D. courses. Admissions to the UG, PG, and Diploma courses are entrance based, while admissions to Ph.D. are merit-based. The entrance examinations accepted are NEET and NEET PG only. The institute was also ranked #23 in India Today 2020, and #22 in The Week 2019.

Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha also known as MGIMS came into existence in 1969 and is located at Sevagram, Maharashtra.
The NAAC accredited medical institution is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences or MUHS, Nashik. MGIMS offers UG, PG, Ph.D. and Diploma programmes under the guidelines of various departments to eligible students. Admissions are purely done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam.
The institute had been ranked 5th best among India Today ranked colleges in Maharashtra in 2019 and ranked 5th position in 2019 as one of the best colleges in Maharashtra. The academic institution has an MBBS course for undergraduates approved by the Medical Council of India. Admissions are done on the basis of 10+2 grades and score in NEET Medical entrance exam.
MGIMS offers 9 specialisations each in Ph.D, M.S and Diploma courses, and 18 specialisations in MD programme. Admission to post graduate level programmes are done as per the guidelines of MUHS and NEET exam results.
