About Lady Doak College
Ms. Katie Wilcox, an American missionary with a passion for empowering women, was the inspiration behind Lady Doak College, a prestigious Christian institution and the first women's college in Madurai. The Institution began in modest fashion in 1948, and after a short period of time, in 1978, it was given the go-ahead to operate as an independent college while being a part of Madurai Kamaraj University.
As an ecumenical Christian college with the mission of providing students of all faiths with a quality education based on Christian principles, this institution works to foster students' intellectual abilities, find, recognise, and cultivate their interests and talents, and prepare them to be productive members of society.
Lady Doak College (LDC), the first women's college in Madurai in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, was founded in 1948. It is named after Helen Doak, the associate founder. The college ranked 81st among the Top 100 Colleges of Southern India by popular newspaper The Hindu.
LDC, Madurai Admission 2023
For the academic year 2022–2023, admission to Lady Doak College (LDC) is now open. On the LDC website, at @ladydoakcollege.edu.in/admission, interested students may submit an application for admission to the programmes they choose to pursue. The institution has not yet made the final application deadline public. The Lady Doak College admission process is only open to female applicants because LDC is the oldest institution that only enrols female students. The 1948-founded Lady Doak College is situated in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. It provides courses for all academic levels, including undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral.- For all of its courses, the college uses an offline application process.
- The application form is available to candidates on the college campus.
- Candidates may apply for undergraduate courses if they have fulfilled their 10 + 2 requirements from a reputable educational board.
- To be eligible to apply for the applicable postgraduate courses, one must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
- The distribution of seats for the various courses will be based on merit.
- The college administration will create a merit list based on the candidates' performance in their prior academic work.
- Candidates for Ph.D. and M.Phil. research courses must hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in a field of study that is relevant.
- Every year, campus management makes attractive placements available.
LDC, Madurai Admission Process
The college office has the application form available. The college will publish the deadline for submitting application forms for each of the courses when the application season opens.- The college office at the following address, Lady Doak College, Tallakulam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, 625002, may provide the application form.
- The completed application form must be dropped off at the college office with all required supporting documentation attached.
- Before the application process begins, information on the application fee and the list of papers needed for verification will be made accessible.
Hostel Facilities
The student must comply with the requirements of the college and hostel in order for their admission to the hostel to be renewed. Hostel admission is only valid for ONE academic year at a time. Additionally, her academic progress is considered. At the start of the academic year, fees will be assessed for establishment and medical services for the coming year. Only online payments should be made. The first of the academic year should be used to pay the hostel fees. The three payments of boarding costs will be made in the following order: first, at the beginning of the academic year/odd semester, second, at the beginning of September, and third, at the beginning of January. At the conclusion of the school year, all deposits will be adjusted.
