About IIMC Hyderabad
Vasavi Foundation (established by Vasavi Seva Kendram and Vysya Hostel Trust Board) established the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce (IIMC) in 1973 with a B.Com (Hons) Degree. The creation of the Institution was made possible by a number of notable members of the Vysya Community, including Sri K. Seethaiah Gupta, Sri G. Narayana Chetty, Sri C. E. Gupta, Sri Dundoo Balnarsiah, Sri V. Lingiah Gupta, Sri C. Som Raj Ram, and Sri V. Durvasulu Gupta.
Elders have determined that Sri C. Som Raj Ram garu would be the ideal candidate for the job of Honorary Secretary after considering his academic credentials (he is a gold medalist in M.Com and LLB with First Class First and has worked in the field of education).
Some distinguished government servants, including Sri M. V. Rajagopal, Sri Rammurthy, and Sri Rameshan, who served as the secretary of education at various points in time, were members of the inaugural Board of Governors.
Finding the ideal candidate for the position of Director of the Institute required careful consideration on the part of the Hon. Secretary and Correspondent, Rector Sri C. Som Raj Ram, and elders like Sri C. E. Gupta. Dr. K. V. Gopalaswamy, a former registrar at Andhra University who was widely regarded for his managerial skills, was chosen to lead the institute.
The college was accepted for grant-in-aid in the year 1980, and in the year 1994, it was accepted for Section 2 (f), 12-B of the University Grants Commission. A number of new programmes, including M.Com, B.C.A., B.Com (Computers), and B.Sc. (Computers), were gradually added. Numerous graduates of the college have gone on to work as company secretaries, cost accountants, and chartered accountants. Several pupils went on to have prosperous business careers. Some of the college's former students have achieved international fame, including Karan Bilimoria, the 2002 Asian of the Year and creator of Cobra Beer.

IIMC Hyderabad Admissions 2023
The Indian Institute of Management and Commerce (IIMC), a prestigious commerce college in Hyderabad, was founded in 1973. Osmania University is associated with IIMC. Osmania University is associated with the B.Com. (Hons) programme, which enrols 120 students. Additionally, B.Com. programmes are available in Computers (intake - 120), Computer Applications (intake - 60), and General (intake - 60). Other undergraduate programmes include a B.Sc. in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science with a 50-student minimum enrollment need and a B.B.A. with a 60-student minimum enrollment requirement. 50 students may enrol in the M.Com. course at the PG level offered by IIMC, Hyderabad.- Each year, applications for all of the courses go on sale in May.
- From the official website, candidates can obtain an application form, fill it out, and mail it to the institute office.
- The Osmania University counselling process is used to fill every seat in the M.Com. and B.Com. (Hons) programmes.
- Candidates seeking admission to any undergraduate programme must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 40% in their Class 12th or any equivalent exam from a recognised board.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in commerce (10+2+3 system) from a recognised board or university are admitted to the M.Com. programme.
- Admission to the B.Com. (Hons) and M.Com. programmes is based on performance in the Osmania University Common Entrance Examination (OUCET).
- For all the UG courses, admissions are done on the basis of marks secured in Class 12th or any equivalent examination.
IIMC Hyderabad, Admission Process
Candidates who wish to apply for B.Com. (Hons.) and M.Com. counselling must first complete the OUCET application form online before registering for the exam. There is no separate form to fill up for IIMC; all places for these courses are filled through counselling. Candidates can download the application form for all other courses from the college website and mail it to them filled out and with all necessary supporting documentation.- The admission form and prospectus must be downloaded from the IIMC website by applicants for all UG programmes.
- The completed application form should then be mailed to the campus along with a demand draught for INR 400 made out to the "Principal, IIMC, Hyderabad."
