BHU Law Faculty Admissions 2023
BHU Law Faculty admission can be completed in online mode only. Admission to courses is either offered on the basis merit or entrance exam conducted at the University level. However, for practising law in India, candidates are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India.

Students seeking admission to the UG, PG and PhD programmes at this faculty must fulfil the criteria listed below:
- BA LLB (Hons) and LLB (Hons): Admission to these UG courses is based on a candidate’s score in BHU UET
- LLM and LLM & LLM HRDE: Students are offered admission to these PG programmes basis a qualifying score in BHU PET
- PhD: PhD admission is offered on the basis of a candidate’s performance in Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the University
- PG diploma: Admission to these courses is done on the basis of a candidate’s marks in the previous qualifying exam
Faculty of Law BHU PhD Admission 2023
The Law faculty of BHU also offers a PhD programme in law at the doctoral level. Candidates seeking admission to this programme must get a valid score in RET conducted by BHU. Those with a valid score in NET (JRF), NET (LS) and GATE are eligible for direct admission without appearing in RET. However, if candidates from NET (JRF), NET (LS)/ GATE wishes to get considered for BHU research fellowship, they need to appear for RET and get shortlisted as an RET candidate.
